Galaxy Christmas Village: A Night Full Of Stars!

Galaxy Christmas Village: A Night Full Of Stars!

“Christmas is in town!”

This is my most favorite time of the year! You know it’s Christmas when you start to hear kids who go house-to-house to sing Christmas carols or karoling in our native language. Ninongs and Ninangs also give money or aguinaldo in an angpao as a form of a gift to their inaanaks. Some parents still raise their kids in the traditional way of celebrating Christmas wherein they tell their kids to hang a sock in the Christmas Tree or in a fireplace and is said that Santa Claus will put money in it while everyone is asleep. Simbang Gabi is also a very important event during this season, it starts daily from December 16-24 as early as 03:00-05:00. On the last day of Simbang Gabi which is Christmas Eve, it is also famously called as Misa de Gallo (Spanish for Rooster’s Mass). Puto Bumbong and bibingka are the famous kakanin sold by vendors outside the Church.

This is just how we celebrate Christmas in the Philippines!

🎄 Galaxy Christmas Village

Of course, the coldest place in the Philippines will not just let Christmas pass without any spectacular Christmas set-ups in town! This year, Baguio City proudly presents its Galaxy Christmas Village located in Baguio Country Club wherein they will bring down to you the stars and heavenly bodies as it is galaxy themed. They have made it extra special for people who want to experience Christmas in a whole new level! You can add up to your peanut brittles, strawberry taho and ube jam this wonderful Christmas Village.

The Galaxy experience has opened up a lot of activities and experience for visitors such as the reenactment of the Nativity Scene, snow falls in every corner of the village, wishing walls and live performances of different groups at the center stage will complete such a beautiful night. Souvenirs and food stalls are also all over the place.
