Last 26th of May, I went home to our Province in Pangasinan to celebrate my Mom and Noel’s birthday. And because it’s only once in a blue moon that I come home, I thought of doing a blog post of the best restaurants to dine in the City. I remembered when my brother told me about this Korean Restaurant in the City that really taste delicious. I’m glad to have included Oseyo Restaurant in my list of the best restaurants in Dagupan because after I have tried their food I definitely have no regrets.

For travelers coming from Manila going to Baguio City or La Union, you’ll be passing by the Bangus Capital of the Philippines which is Dagupan, a long trip could use a stopover in this beautiful city. You can drop by to purchase pasalubong of boneless bangus for your friends and family and you can also feed your tummy with Korean dish at the best Korean restaurant in the city – Oseyo Restaurant.
The size of the restaurant can accommodate up to 40 pax. Like any other Korean Restaurants, the tables are centered with ventilated built-in charcoal grills to keep your dining experience comfortable while digging in to your favorite samgyeopsal.

How to get there
Oseyo Restaurant can be easily accessed because it’s just along the highway. There are no jeepneys passing by this route so the best way is to charter a tricycle for PHP20.00 each from Lucao, Dagupan City. It’s located in the old De Venecia Highway, just 15 minutes away from Dagupan’s Downtown district. For private vehicles, find your way towards AKIA Bldg in your WAZE app or Google maps.

Oseyo Korean Restaurant Dining Experience – an Honest Review
As a person who loves Korean food so much, I’ve been to countless Korean Restaurants in Manila and in Baguio. Almost all Korean restaurants that offer samgyeopsal are the same and Oseyo Restaurant is just like any of those. The side dish are always identical and the tables have built-in charcoal grills.
As I entered the restaurant, the buffet table is the first thing that you’ll see wich is just in front of the door. The different variety of Samgyeopsal meat are layed over a long table while the side dish are on the other side. Behind the counter, you’ll see the unlimited iced tea refill and the utensils you can use for grilling and eating.
On the right side of the restaurant is the dining area. There are minimal korean-themed wall paintings and the standard tables and chairs with charcoal grills at the center.
My brothers and I went here around 12nn on a Saturday and I can say that there are a lot of customers dining in here. It’s quite amazing that the restaurant is not accessible by jeepney transportation but people keep on coming, it only means that the customers are satisfied with the food and the restaurant itself. I observed customers who eats and acts like they’ve been in the restaurant more than twice because they already knew what to look for and what to ask for.
The staff were also friendly and approachable. I remembered when one of them approached me and asked if I need anything. A good restaurant is built with good employees.
When it comes to tidyness, this criteria is very crucial for establishments that involves food business. I personally don’t like restaurants who cannot maintain cleanliness regardless of the peak and lean hours. It’s good that Oseyo restaurant is not one of those untidy restaurants.
Food – honest review
I don’t want to be biased but their kimchi is surely one of the best! The samgyeopsal meats are also tasty, especially the chicken meat. Although, the green vegies were not that fresh. Some of the leaves are not in good condition so I just did the adjustment of cutting off the brown parts.
Don’t ignore the steamed egg, served on every table and straight from the kitchen. A word of advise, it’s delicious together with any samgyeopsal meat.
Overall, I give Oseyo Restaurant a score of 9 out of 10. Why I didn’t give them a 10? Because I believe that there’s always room for improvement. Can’t wait to come here the second time!
