Filling Station: A Retro Dining Experience

Heads up to food bloggers out there! Here’s a restaurant you should not be missing out, Filling Station is a retro themed restaurant located in Makati Avenue. This place was specifically inspired by a retro movie series “Riverdale”. I have been to so many iconic themed restaurants around the city and this is yet one of the most amazing! There isn’t a single dull corner in this restau bar & café. Everything is perfectly designed and you bet that you won’t regret this place. Group reunions, family bonding, double dates, name it all, this restau doesn’t pick its customers. Anyone can go here!

As you enter the restaurant, you will notice several marvel icons outside and as you go inside, some photographs of Manilyn Monroe and other famous retro models are pinned in the walls and ceiling. As you reach the 2nd floor, it’s where the journey through the retro world begins. Old motorbikes, antique cars and things, staff wearing matching retro outfits of red and white stripes, retro themed tables and chairs mixed with marvel and justice league icons will welcome you to an incredibly innovative restaurant. I never thought someone could actually make this happen, the interior designing is incomparable and was seriously taken up to the next level.

A RETRO WORLD: Filling Station

Spider Man, The Flash, Hulk, Madonna, and Manilyn Monroe comprises some of the famous icons you will see inside mixed with a retro theme. Every single corner of the room including the ceiling is worth an Instagram photo. There are a couple of activities that you ca do inside such as billiards.

See there’s a lot of reason why you should visit the place as I have mentioned earlier in the introduction of this article. But what’s the catch? It’s obvious that the basic question after learning about the new shiny restaurant in town is “how much is the budget for food? Is it expensive?”. Let’s not go beating around the bush, the budget for food is quite expensive. Why? Well, given the description I have written and tried my very best to write detail by detail about the design of the place, I bet it’s just fair that the value of the food is a bit expensive. Expect a PHP500.00-700.00 expense per head if you really want to try out their dishes. But mind you! The food is delicious and worth your money!

Filling Station doesn’t only boast a unique restaurant theme, they also got a very approachable waiters and waitresses plus the food is undeniably worth it! My friends and I are very critic when it comes to food and the service of the restaurant given that we’re HRM graduates. Usually, we always have something to say about the place. But this time, it seems that the table has been turn upside down. We got nothing to say and overall rate this restaurant 100%! I hope you guys can swing by the place and rate it for yourself.
