The pass is easy to use, no need for online activation. Once you get your physical card you can use it right away. Download the Klook app before your purchase.

STEP 1: BUY THE FUN PASS ON KLOOK HERE and you’ll get instant confirmation after your purchase. Screenshot the mobile voucher/QR code and present this when you claim the physical ticket.

Important Tips & Reminders

  • Plan your itinerary ahead. You can only maximize the pass for 3 days. Make sure to check the time slots and available dates for each destination/activity you want to visit.

  • Book an accommodation around Taipei Main Station since you will be using the MRT everyday.
  • Download Taipei MRT map for easier navigation around Taipei. It’s very easy to use the map, the train routes have designated colors for easy identification.

Sample 3 Days Itinerary Using Taipei Fun Pass

This itinerary is assuming that you are taking the latest flight to Taiwan on Day 0. Day 1 should start early in the morning so you can maximize your time. You can get your physical Taipei Fun Pass at the airport. Take note that Airport MRT is not included in your pass.

Day 1

Places to visit:

  • Taipei 101 Observatory – the skyscraper’s 89th and 91st floor gives you a panoramic view of Taipei. Experience the fastest way to get to the 89th floor through its elevator which only takes 37 seconds.
  • National Palace Museum – houses the largest collection of Chinese artifacts in the world. The museum provides a fascinating glimpse to the rich culture of China.
  • Main Building of Chiang Kai-Shek Shilin Residence – s a national monument and tourist attraction erected in memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of Taiwan. It is located in Taipei, Taiwan.
  • Liberty Square – a large public plaza in Taipei where most of their events take place.
  • Ximending Shopping District – one of the busiest night markets in Taipei. There are lots of street-foods here, restaurants, souvenir shops and shopping stalls.

Day 2

Places to visit:

  • Maokong Gondola – with a total length of 4.03 kilometers, the Maokong Gondola is the first Gondola system in Taipei City. This cable car ride takes you to a lift of picturesque views with lush greenery and a city view from afar.
  • Taipei Zoo – the most famous zoological garden in the country. The zoo includes 7 indoor exhibits, each with different themes.
  • Miramar Entertainment Park Ferris Wheel – Miramar is a shopping mall located in Zhongshan District. The 70-meters tall ferris wheel is the most famous structure in this area. The best time to go here is at night.
  • Dadaocheng Square – another night market in Taipei where you can find a lot of souvenirs and street-food.

8AMMaokong GondolaRide an MRT Red line going to Daan Station, then tranfer to Gold line going to Taipei Zoo station. From there, ride the Maokong Gondola cable car (roundtrip) then drop off at Taipei Zoo.

How to Use Taipei Fun Pass

Day 3

Take note that the destinations for Day 3 itinerary are the farthest. So make sure to stick to the time and do advance research on how to get there. Start as early as you can too!

Places to visit:

  • Lover’s Tower – Experience the beauty of Tamsui, 100-meters above the city, with an exciting visit to the Tamsui Lover’s Tower
  • Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf – is a major fishing harbor and a scenic spot on the right bank of the Tamsui River.
  • Yehliu GeoPark – planet Mars on Earth! It is a famous scenic spot with rock formations, fossils and big waves.
  • Juming Museum – is a museum in Jinshan District which displays the works of Taiwanese sculptor Ju Ming. It is also surrounded by lush forests, ample space and infinite view.
